at the Venice Neighborhood Council's Green Film Series


Join us for an evening of good company, education, great music, amazing food and go home with some solutions on how you can help "Rise Above Disposable Plastics" in your everyday life!  http://www.riseaboveplastics.org/

Also showing, Surfrider’s animated short "THE CYCLE OF INSANITY: The Real Story of Water," narrated by Zuleikha Robinson of Lost. And a presentation by Dr. Marcus Eriksen from Algalita & 5 Gyres about his recent expedition to the Atlantic Gyre. 

TAPPED: THE MOVIE examines the role of the bottled water industry and its effects on our health, climate change, pollution, and our reliance on oil.

Surfrider Foundation's THE CYCLE OF INSANITY: THE REAL STORY OF WATER dives into controversial problems and solutions related to water management and serves as a practical outline for citizens curious about water issues.

FEATURES:
• Interactive displays about plastic pollution & why we need to consume less disposable plastics

7:15 - Premiere of Surfrider’s animated short "The Cycle of Insanity: The Real Story of Water"
7:45 - Screening of "Tapped, The Movie"
9:00 - Presentation by Dr. Marcus Erikson from 5 Gyres, Living Legacy & Algalita. He will talk about new findings from a recent expedition to the North & South Atlantic Gyres.
